

Remember, you don’t have to pair up with other controllable heroes.

Nearly every controllable hero should be paired up with some character. Dual guard also turns your special musou attack into a double attack, which does far more damage and usually one-hit kills minor bosses. Dual attacks serve as combo extenders and dual guard prevents you from taking damage. Pairing up gives you access to dual abilities. There is no reason not to use the pair-up function in battle. Just make sure it’s a character you plan on controlling. In Fire Emblem Warriors the maximum level is 99, so you might as well promote your characters early. In most Fire Emblem titles, it’s important to max your character’s level before promoting them. Fighting with your farming weapon will keep you flush with cash items, allowing you to easily outfit your army with the best gear and crests. Your goal should be to forge all of these abilities onto one weapon and then keep that weapon on the character you want to use. There are certain abilities in the game that increase weapon and material drop rate, and increase the slots and quality of dropped weapons. It’s easily the best use for weapons that would otherwise be scrap. So be sure to use them to forge extra abilities on your weapons of choice. Forge Away Your Extra WeaponsĮxtra weapons don’t do anything sitting in your caravan, and they usually sell for very little gold. If a unit is only a level or two below your average party level, it’s far better to just bring them into battle as-is and let them gain XP through combat. You need to spend more gold the higher your level. Don’t bother using it on higher level units. It’s a fantastic tool for getting lower level units caught up with the rest of your party. The training grounds lets you exchange gold for levels.

Don’t Use Training Grounds for High level Units Unique abilities are always purchased from items gains from raising social bonds with the character who has the unique ability in question. To purchase these abilities you need to raise social bonds. Purchasing them for one character allows you to purchase them for any other character in your party. You should invest in these quickly no matter the character. The third type of crest, boost crests, allow you to buy unique character abilities. Any character you aren’t controlling should be loaded up with defense crests to compensate for the passive A.I. Simply attacking relentlessly will prevent most enemies from dealing damaging you. In general, invest in attack crests for any character you can control. Defense crests reduce the amount of damage you take from weapons and help you survive. Attack crests give you access to longer combos and special meters which fill quicker. The two main types of crests are attack crests and defense crests. In the camp menu you can exchange materials that you find in battle for crests that grant your characters special abilities. Focus on Attack for Player Characters and Defense for NPCs In general, you want to spend time leveling and upgrading the gear of characters that you can control as they will always be more useful than A.I. Only a small group of characters can actually be controlled. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you can control them, it means that they will fight alongside you in battle. Over the course of the campaign, certain characters will join your forces.
